Hi, all. I'm writing this from the machine formerly known
alice-whacker, which I've reinstalled with the SIPB linux installer.
I've modified the text installer, and you can try it out by pointing
your machine at NFS server ni.mit.edu and directory
/afs/sipb/system/rhlinux/redhat-6.2
when prompted during the install.
One problem I noticed with the install is that the name I specified for
the machine doesn't seem to have been recognized. The machine is called
pcs-server. I tried to set the name to alice-whacker, but it didn't
stick. The name pcs-server was the default given during the network
configuration step of the install. However, I can't find that when I
grep the anaconda source.
Alex.
