Subject: FA310TX and tulip driver

Hi,
I have a problem with my network card and I hope someone can help me.

I am running linux mandrake (2.2.14-15mdksecure) and I
have a NetGear FA310TX Rev-D2 ethernet board.
I have installed the tulip driver from NetGears' website.

The problem is that the card locks up every now and again.
I have found a posting on the web which explains the problem quite well.

http://www.tux.org/hypermail/linux-tulip-bug/1999-Apr/0023.html

I have not found a solution to it however.
Before the card locks up I always get the message:

kernel: eth0: Oversized Ethernet frame spanned multiple buffers, status
08018192!

I get other similar messages, with a different status code, but the card
only locks up
with this specific one.

I would be very grateful if someone could give me some advice on this.

Thank you,
Alex.
