Subject: FYI: NIC how poor NE2000 clone is.

For your information about poor NIC, which is NE2000 clone ISA card.
I had a problem with afs. The problem was happend only when I was
writing a file (the size was more than 1024 bytes or so) into my afs
directory. Someone (sorry, but I lost that e-mail) pointed out that
I should change my NIC. I doubted it because there was no problem
except writing files into afs.
Finally, I changed my NIC to 3c905B (PIC), and now everything is
working fine. How poor NE2000 clone ISA card is ! I couldn't realize
that. However, I bought that clone just for $10.
Regards,
Masahiko Nakayama
