FYI: I've rebuilt and tested the RH-A 5.2 boot disks. They work.
They even got my laptop online :) So, the only thing left for
the install is the components files and then build the server.

PS: we might want to change /mit/linux/update.pl to check
/etc/redhat-version and then perform the proper update. I'll probably
do that myself, if I have the time.
