I think that we do. RedHat 5.2 comes with bind-8.1.2. The "comps"
file on sipb-nfs installs both the "DNS name server" category and the
"athena-named-conf" package by default.
After all packages have been installed, the user is asked "Which
services should be run at boot time?" and given a list of checkboxes.
I don't remember if "named" is checked by default, but as long as it
gets checked, the system runs the right version of named with the
right configuration files. We should make sure "named" is checked by
default, which I guess is what you said in the first place.

I know about the aout-libs package, and I fully stand by every word in
the quoted paragraph. Linux a.out executables simply don't work very
well on RedHat 5.2 systems no matter what shared libs you have
installed. For that and other reasons (memory and disk space wasted
on old shared libs), they should be rebuilt.
