redhat 5.1/glibc assistance offered

I've been following the web-visible archives of linux-dev and since I'm
eager to use updated athena stuff on redhat 5.1 myself, I thought I'd offer
to lend a hand (though I'm probably too late to be much good).

The most significant difference in redhat 5.1 from 4.2 is using GNU libc,
and I'm the original author of GNU libc and still somewhat active in its
current development. So if there are porting issues or problems/bugs with
libc interaction, I can probably help figure it out.

I don't have the resources to do a lot of builds and such myself (though
I'm supposed to be getting a new machine any day now), but I'm happy to
answer questions and look at lossage.

I have some experience dealing with redhat weirdness and building rpm
packages, too.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help the effort along.

Thanks,
Roland
