Keesh has a new kernel. 0.99.13. I'm not sure of the exact version
of 0.99.13 (there are _lots_), this is a somewhat early one. This
might stop the X crashes.
I hope to reinstall Keesh's main partition (with either tamu or
slackware, I'd personally prefer tamu) and reinstall all athena
software from a real source/build tree. This will be intensely
useful, since we will be able to keep more exact records of exactly
what outside /usr/athena needs to be changed.
I'm putting the source tree together in /usr/athena/src on Keesh. (If
possible, I'd like to NFS-export this as well as /usr/src.)
The reinstall will probably happen in a couple of weeks unless there's
a good reason for it not to. I'll make sure everyone with a local
homedir on Keesh gets a message saying "move your files."
Well, that's the news for now. I think the linux athena source tree
is coming along real well. "Great things are afoot."
