I talked to Jonas roughly 20 hours ago in the SIPB office. I
explained the concern with putting him on linux-dev (that it was more
than just the mailing list) and introduced him to discuss (poorly, ie:
I showed him the tty reader (the only one I remember how to use...)).
He now has three lines in his .meetings file: the original two and
ldev. He can (and does) read linux-dev via the discuss meeting. He
didn't seem at all displeased with this situation. I don't think he
needs to be put on linux-dev.
My suggestion is that someone (one of you folks on sipb-acl) tell him
that we'll put him on linux-dev when he's prepared to take on the
responsibility that goes with the bits, and after he spends some time
learning what those responsibilities are.
What I know of Jonas is generally positive, and I have no reservations
about him getting more privileges with which to learn and do things.
