I love a good challenge to. :-)
Anything with an #ifdef XKB which is compiled with XKB defined
will die with an an error that XkbFoo couldn't be resolved.
A quick list of programs (just in the X tree) which care:
twm, oclock, xfd, xclock, xlogo, xmh, xsm, xterm, xwd,
xkb* (surprise, surprise!), and a few others...
There may be other compatability problems as well.
I'm not sure what this implies, if anything, about
what we should do...
