Hi. Some late thoughts about the 4.2 packages:
I don't think the login-scripts package is necessary. Apparently it
contains:
/usr/athena/lib/login
/usr/athena/lib/X11/app-defaults/Lucy
/usr/athena/lib/X11/app-defaults/Xcluster
The "Lucy" app-defaults file should be removed. (I don't think lucy
exists anymore.) The "Xcluster" app-defaults file should go in the
package with the xcluster executable. The lib/login directory should
go in the xlogin package.
Also, it's certainly not a big deal, but I find the version
"1.0.A7.7.3" somewhat questionable. (The sipb-athena source tree is
collected from lots of Athena versions. I don't think we should imply
that Athena 7.7 was particularly relevant.)
For third-party software that has it's own version number (like emacs,
mh, and tex), I don't see the point of appending "A7.7.3" to the
version number.
Have a nice day.
