Speaking of linux security...

Joanne Costello et al are preparing posters to alert new MITNet users
about password sniffing. You might remember this aardvark poster from
a year or two ago.

They plan to make a home page which points to helpful security
information (eg, where and why to get kerberized telnet clients for
Macs and PC's). On that note, they would like to point to a
linux-related security page at MIT. Such a page would probably
include several details on how to make a RH-Athena box more secure and
how to stay up-to-date on security patches.

Look at /mit/linux/people/fubob/linux-security.txt. This contains
comments from earlier this summer to present. No HTMLization or
categorization has yet occcurred...don't bother using a web browser
yet.

I probably won't have time to create a complete and coherent set of
pages during term, but please feel free to do so.
