we just sent (non-crippled) copies on several platforms to Theodore Ts'o,
who's passed them on to Alex Pringle (see forwarded mail below). Is this
going to be sufficient?
We received evaluation copies for Solaris, AIX, SCO, etc. although not
for Linux. I have a copy of Applixware for Linux from RedHat, which I
can let people look at if they want. (BTW, does Applix support the SGI
platform currently? We didn't receive an eval copy for that platform,
and I didn't know whether it was because it didn't exist, or you just
didn't send us that CD-ROM.)
I/S is going to be evaluating Applix in a couple of different contexts:
one of which is as an Andrew replacement. In order to do this, silly
things like pricing policies are naturally going to be very important.
But I'll let Alex do that negotiating with whomever at Applix is the
right person for him to talk to.
