I logged into quiche from a machine on the wrong side of a 56 kbps
line. It worked at first, but when I typed "ls -l" it hung partway
through. This is likely to be a bug in the kernel TCP code. Netstat
says:

Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (State)
tcp 0 4422 QUICHE-LORRAINE:klogin ILG-TEST-1.MIT.ED:2178 ESTABLISHED

and has said that for about 10 minutes now.

PS said:

jfc 3643 47.8 3.1 378 476 p3 R 17:07 15:10 -tcsh
jfc 3650 44.9 1.7 97 260 p3 R 17:07 13:54 ls -ltr

I sent tcsh SIGHUP and it died.
