Hi
I want to have secure telnet on my linux box, but something is
wrong. Here's what happens when I try:
[jsaylor@sun-ra] ~ > telnet dell-icate
...including Athena's default telnet options: "-ax"
Trying 18.177.0.108...
Connected to dell-icate.MIT.EDU.
Escape character is '^]'.
[ Trying KERBEROS4 ... ]
[ Kerberos V4 accepts you ]
[ Kerberos V4 challenge successful ]
What you type is protected by encryption.
8'9Btelnetd: /bin/athena/login: No such file or directory
.
Connection closed by foreign host.
[jsaylor@sun-ra] ~ >
So, I could make a symlink from /bin/login to /bin/athena/login, but I
don't think that's right. Any suggestions or pointers?
I run kernel version 1.2.13, and LinuxAFS 1.2.13-21 [something like
that], and I have most of the athena things installed.
[Also, at login, I get messages on the console window that complain
about machtype missing- any pointers on where I can get it?]
