I just recreated it, this time making sure I had umask 022.  Files in
the one Jered built were stored with umask 077, making very many things
unuseful to people other than root.  The contents should be the same
other than the new permissions.

On another note, is there a useful reason to keep around backup packages
when they're updated?  And what ever happened to people working on the
linux syspacks?  Will there be useable ones any time soon?
