Dear team members;
I'm writing to you to let you know of the latest incarnation of the software accessibility policy and guidelines, located at http://web.mit.edu/atic/www/sw/ . We decided to combine both the web and software guidelines together in one site that would make it easier for authors and purchasers to find the information they need. It also made sense to link it off the ATIC site since ATIC will be mostly responsible for answering user questions and doing any testing and evaluation that might be needed. Please take the time to review the policy and guidelines. We have incorporated team members' feedback into the latest versions of the draft.
I will be letting attendees at the IT Partners meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) know about the upcoming guidelines, although they are not in final format. They need to be reviewed by the IT Architecture Group (ITAG) before they become final. We will also need to bring these guidelines before the Academic Council for their information.
I would like to schedule a team meeting so that we can go over any final edits of the guidelines, as well as develop a plan to publicize the guidelines and provide any training needed. Here are some possible meeting dates and times:
Wednesday, May 9 -- 10 or 11 AM
Thursday, May 10 -- 10 or 11 AM
Thursday, May 17 10 or 11 AM
Please let me know what times work for you. Thanks.
Kathy
