What kinds of mathematical operations do people perform on
multidimensional matrices? So far I've always found two dimensions to
be enough (except in database applications, which I don't tend to
think of as mathematical applications), so I am curious to hear what
motivates use of dimensions > 2.
If such methods are useful, I'd be interested in learning more. I'm
always looking for nifty things to implement in Maple. :-)
