For those of who make use of the World-Wide-Web (with clients like
Mosaic, for instance), I've created and made available a collection of
Maple-related HTML documents via the WWW server web.mit.edu. By the
same mechanism, it is also now possible to access past transactions of
the MSUG mailing list.

The effort is still in its fledgling stages, but so far I've compiled
a reasonably comprehensive list of Maple books and article summaries
for issues 6-10 of MapleTech. I've also added pointers to information
related to the MSWS conference and the Maple/Prescience Info Server.

I hope to expand the collection over time to include helpful hints on
using Maple (directed primarily at MIT folks, so please forgive any
site-oriented bias... and ignore our current collection of 'stock answers'
which are woefully out of date. I hope to update them in the next week
or so), and some information on CAS's in general.

If you don't use WWW, this won't mean much to you, but otherwise,
the URL of the primary Maple HTML page is:

   http://web.mit.edu/afs/athena.mit.edu/software/maple/www/home.html

You can currently access the MSUG archives by first examining the
MapleTech page, then selecting the MSUG archives anchor, or more
directly by simply using the URL:

   http://web.mit.edu/afs/athena.mit.edu/software/maple/www/msug.html

I'm pretty sure that the location of the Maple home page will remain
stable for the forseable future, but I'm not swearing to it on a stack
of Knuth's 3-volume "Art of Computer Programming". Not even with the
second edition. :-) When I start putting together some CAS
information, I'll probably relocate the MSUG page to wherever the CAS
stuff is stored... in that case, the MSUG anchor on the MapleTech page
will get updated to reflect the change.

[ and to Sue W: sorry for not responding to you before now, but as
you can see, I did get your email about www, wais, etc. Thanx! ]
