As you all have probably noticed, MIT's attitude towards external
zephyr releases has been one of "malign neglect" for several years
now. While Zephyr is still used internally at MIT, we are not putting
resources towards active development and don't see it as having a big
future outside of MIT.

In April of this year, I released some snapshots of the zephyr source
code used by MIT. As far as I know, that code works fine; there have
been only minor changes to the source code at MIT since then. The
build system is perhaps not as friendly because the supporting
libraries have been split out and need to be built and installed
separately from the zephyr source, but that shouldn't be a really big
deal.

This morning I reorganized the zephyr FTP area to indicate that the
snapshots should be used in preference to the heavily outdated zephyr
2.0.4 release.
