xzwrite out of memory

We are using zephyr 2.0.4 on BSD/OS 3.1 and the first big problem I'm
having is with xzwrite. When someone logs in and they have exposure set to
realm-announced, everyone's xzwrite dies with:
Out of memory: while dealing with login/logout notice
Has anyone else seen this and have a fix/work-around?
Also, how do you get zpopnotify to send messages? ie., what do you use to
actually monitor the mailboxes for incoming mail and then execute
zpopnotify?
