Dave,
I had purchased a volume of Office2000 under the Microsoft Select
agreement, and needed to call in to Microsoft, give them the Confirmation
Number and Enrollement key in order for them to issue the license key code
to install the copies.
(Not usually needed on the OS cd's or other products, I assume they feel
Win/Office is the prime target for piracy)
NECX used to occasionally added the following statement when ordering MS
Select media and licenses, the phone number is still active, and can be
used to obtain a product key.
It would be useful if Govconnection provided similar information in the
future.
"This order is available for use immediately using the above confirmation
number and enrollment number. If you need to obtain a Key Code for
installation, please contact the regional Microsoft Registration Center at
888-652-2342. Please feel free to contact me any time that I can be of
assistance."
