We are asking you this question because of your excellent
academic and researching reputation and we hope you
can help us becasue microsoft hasn't been able to help.
--------------------------------
We have a secure site with the certificate from "Verisign" with 1024 bit
(The company that was in microsoft documentation on how to get your site
secured.) It was all working fine until we installed microsoft service pack 3
40bit ency. for windows NT( We were using service pack 2 128bit ency.
version with IIS 3.0). We were not able to get into our secure site. The
following messages was received.
on Netscape 4.0: "The server has encountered bad data from the client"
on Explorer 3.0: "Security failure. A secure connection could not be
established.
on Explorer 4.0, 4.01 "Internet Explorer cannot open Internet Site, an
error occured in the secure channel support."
*Note we did try uninstall the service pack 3, but the problem still exist
after the uninstallation.
We have gone though all the microsoft online support help and tried everything
that was suggested on line. nothing has worked. We are not sure if the
problem is with the information server or Window NT.
We have even upgrade the IIS 3.0 to IIS 4.0 using NT Option pack. And
the problem still exist (service pack 3 with IIS 4.0).
The site that is having problems is www.miracleshark.com. click on the
table of contents on the splash page and click on the SECURE ORDER
WITH AM, VISA OR MASTERCARD on the left hand column when
you are in page 1. The certificate is under our name.
www.spectrasinc.com. and the secure order form resides in our web
server. We are very frustrated. plase reply asap.
thank you.
