XP Products hardware detection and images

I have been told that there is some type of corporate CD that has a
utility that allows for office XP and Windows XP not to detect the
difference in hardware, so that you can image a computer and not have to
insert the CD after restoring the image so another computer that may have
a difference in hardware. Has anyone else heard of or obtained this
software. I believe it is a utility and not a different installer CD for
the products. If anyone has any information on this or the process on how
hot obtain this, please let me know. Also let me know if this is
completely untrue.
