Good afternoon,

In an effort to enhance our services and availability to the community,
I am pleased to announce that Information Systems (IS) has extended its
hours of operation for the Computing Help Desk and the Business Liaison
Team.

Effective October 15, both Help Desks will be staffed from 8 a.m. until
6 p.m., Monday through Friday. This extension of hours adds ten hours
of help desk services each week. In the past, these help desks were open
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. As always, clients are encouraged to continue to
submit questions after hours by phone or e-mail.

The Computing Help Desk provides a full range of assistance on
IS-supported
products and services for Macintosh and Windows. The Business Liaison
Team
(BLT) supports the MIT community in the use of MIT's business
applications.

As a reminder, here's how to get in touch with the IS Help Desks:

Computing Help Desk
         Call x3-1101 (Mac)
                 x3-1102 (Windows)
         Send e-mail to: <computing-help@mit.edu>
         Go to http://web.mit.edu/helpdesk

Business Liaison Team
         Call x2-1177
         Send e-mail to: <business-help@mit.edu>
         Go to http://web.mit.edu/is/blt

This information is also available at
http://web.mit.edu/is/help/hours.html

I would like to express my appreciation to the Help Desk and BLT staff
and leadership for extending services.

Thanks,
Greg Anderson
