Hi all,
Ok, having made my transition to the Software Release Team, I now have
the time again to dedicate to presenting some new and interesting ideas
and topics. Next Monday's meeting will focus on setting up a Internet
Information Server on a 2000 workstation with SSL enabled. I will give
a demonstration on how to set up the webserver on the machine, how to
generate a server certificate request, and how to install the server
certificate.
Please note that MIT does not recommend using IIS, but due to the
tremendous demand for it as well as for servers that support Frontpage
extensions, I am going to do my best to ensure that people who need to
use IIS do it properly. Additionly, I will try to compile a list of
known security issues for IIS 5.0. If you have any questions that you
would like addressed during this demonstration, please let me know of
them in advance.
Thanks,
Bryant Vernon
