Support Announcement Pending

We are putting the final pieces in place to offer support for Office
2001 and will be issuing a statement very soon.
Testing Nearly Complete
-----------------------
Through the efforts of many volunteers, we have been performing
compatibility testing to ensure that Office 2001 works within the MIT
computing environment. We have done extensive testing of file
compatibility between previous versions and across Mac and PC
platforms, interaction with SAP, BrioQuery, Administrative and Travel
Templates, and the Data Warehouse, as well as its performance with
each supported version of Mac OS and CPU. So far test results have
been positive and findings are documented in the product notebook to
be found at http://web.mit.edu/swrt.
Support Components
------------------
On the day support is announced, you'll be able to find links to
training classes, information about new features, known issues, and
purchasing information via the Product Support Summary. The
Computing Help Desk will be ready to provide full support at that
time for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We will not be announcing
support for Entourage.
