Hi All,
Finally, here is the list I promised you:
-adduser (adds a new user to the domain)
-setupuserdirectory (sets up the new user's home and profile directory)
-desktop-sc (creates defualt desktop shortcuts)
-startmenu-sc (creates defulat startmenu folders and shortcuts)
-acl-update (updates the acls on a folder and its subdirectories)
-deluser (deletes a user from the domain and cleans up his directories)
-make2000aware (copies a text file to 2000 machines that identifies that
computer as a w2k machine--for scripting purposes)
-moveprofiles (script used to move profiles out of the user's home
directory--necessary after SP4 for NT 4 when user folders were in a mac
volume)
-changepass (prompts user to specify a new password for a specified
user)
-deactivateuser (marks a user account as deactivated and moves the
user's files to a separate folder)
-newpass (resets a user's password to the domain wide default password)
I have more scripts as well, but these should be a good start. Let me
know if you are interested. Also, if you have ideas for a script, if
you wrote a script you are proud of (or find useful), if you need help
writing a script to solve a problem in your domain, please update this
list! I am always looking for ways to make my and your lives easier.
