Hi Everyone,

It looks like Microsoft and Conxion have decided to make life difficult for
getting 128-bit hotfixes.

As you may know, Conxion provides the distribution service for Microsoft's
128-bit software. Recently they changed how this would work probably due
to the release of SP5. Before, you used to be able to go to one site,
select the 128-bit hotfix or service pack (except sp5) you wanted and
download it. They have now done away with that source and Microsoft has
not yet updated their documentation to reflect the changes.

The following site no longer works:
http://mssecure.www.conxion.com/cgi-bin/ntitar.pl

In order to get the service packs you will need to go to:
http://support.microsoft.com/Support/NTServer/Content/ServicePacks/Default.asp

I have not yet been able to locate any of the 128-bit post-SPx hotfixes
anywhere yet and the documentation still points to the old site.
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/nt40/hotfixes-po
stSP3/pptp3-fix/READ128.TXT

If anyone knows where to get the 128-bit hotfixes from Microsoft or
Conxion, I would be very interested so that we can update our links.

Thanks,
Jonathan

p.s. I spoke at length with Conxion's technical support last night and they
are supposedly going to notify Microsoft of the incorrect documentation on
Microsoft's site.
