windows nt slow booting

We build a series of pentium mmx boards and have observed the following anomalies.

We have a number of boards that for some reason take about 10 minutes to boot winnt.  These boards run dos and amidiag with no errors or abnormalities, but demonstrate extremely slow booting with nt.

The only symptom we have been able to observe is that it only happens with mmx processors.  The processors, ram and all other removable parts have tested normally in other boards
