I have actually seen this message several times which I will summarize below. But, none of these have stopped me, but they are an annoyance. I have hesitated to post this since I thought that it may have been only my PDC which I may have messed up somehow. But I am now curious as to why I see this since others have seen this.

1. When I use domain tools from the "srvtools" directory on a win95 PC which logons to my domain, I get the same message, but I can somehow still add users and administer the domain.

2. WHen Win95 users dial in to the domain's RAS or connect through TCPIP, I get a similar message that allows MSnetwork access even though it says it can't find the server and log me on.

I believe I have encountered this other ways too, but cannot recall it at this time.

At least it is not just you Carrie.

Mike
