Hi - I've just installed Windows LPR Spooler and am having some problems:
Although I can print once successfully to an Athena printer, after the first
print job when a second job is sent out immediately (within a couple of
minutes of the first) I get an error that disables the local queue. When
I try to check on the error (using "Show last error ...") I get the
following error message: "KWLPR2.DLL error: Requested service not supported
by server or network exception occurred." Similarly, I get the same error
message when I try to check on the remote printer status (regardless of
whether I've cleared the error flag).

It turns out that it if I clear the flag and wait five or so minutes, the
problem self-corrects, and I can print another job or check on the remote
printer status. However, after printing the next job, another error will
occur and the queue will be disabled again for another 5 minutes or so.

Here's my setup:

NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3

LPR Spooler Version 4.2a with queue configured as per instructions on-line at
http://web.mit.edu/helpdesk/LPRSpool/lprNT.html

Printer set up with Apple LaserWriter v23.0 with datatype RAW
Postscript Options set to no job control code; no CRTL-D before or after
each job

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Ben Cook
