Microsoft has a hotfix for this problem.  Look on their website:

	http://support.microsoft.com/Support/NTServer/


Look under additional hotfixes. It's called "IE3.02 Hangs with JAVA Applications". The fix (admnfixi.exe) will solve the problem.
