Hello folks,
I have a NT problem that has come up today. One of our users has filled up
the 2 gig hard drive that they have NT installed on. They want to purchase a
4 gig hard drive and switch over to that hard drive, without adding the disk as
a add-on. One drive, twice the space. I know there is a way of doing a mirror
of the entire disk from one drive to another so that when you boot on the new
drive it acts identical to the old one, hence no problems with the NT boot
loader or registry issues, but do not know where to look.
Is there a commercial product that lets you do this??
The only way I have done this previously is: backup the entire drive, install
the new drive, install NT40 from scratch, install all the applications from
scratch and then transfer over the data from the backup; a very time-consuming
project.
It is a SCSI disk/controller and the drive is formatted as NTFS.
Thanks for any suggestions in advance,
