Hi Phyllis,
You do not need any particular machine to act as hub for printing from
Macintoshes. As long as AppleTalk is enabled on the printer, it will be
available to the Macintoshes that are on MITnet. The printer will default
to whatever AppleTalk Zone is the default for that building, and you should
be able to configure it from any Macintosh with the HP setup utilities.
You should make sure to change the name so that the AppleTalk name is the
same as the Hostname for easy of finding the printer in the future.
