Hi all,

I've got an interesting problem. We've got a machine running NT 4.0
workstation and the Peer Web Services (MS IIS2). Our web pages being
published out of the default directory (c:\inetpub\wwwroot) work fine.
However, I have a program that requires access to a file (esrimap.dll)
in the /scripts directory. The file has a ping command built in to it so
that you can check if the program can properly access it. When you go to

http://tiller.mit.edu/scripts/esrimap.dll?cmd=ping

you should get a return that says 'v2.0'. However, I get a dialog box
asking for a username and password. The permission on the scripts
directory are set for 'everyone' to read. I put a html file in that
directory (http://tiller.mit.edu/scripts) which comes up fine.

Does anybody understand why I'm getting a password box for this one
particular file and can you suggest how I might be able to remedy the
problem.

Thanks,

Scott
