Subject: Release of Stretch Break 5.5 for Windows and 4.1 for Mac Underway

The Stretch Break Release Team has begun the effort to deliver
- Stretch Break Pro 5.5 for Windows 2000/XP
and
- Stretch Break Pro 4.1 for Mac OS 9 and X
to the MIT community.
Stretch Break is an ergonomic stretching and typing break timer
program. These releases will provide compatibility with supported
operating systems including Windows XP and Mac OS X. The release effort
will focus on testing, updating existing documentation, and making these
products available to the community. The team anticipates an early summer
release.
The following new features are included in these releases of Stretch Break:
Both Mac and Windows:
* Stretch Break Pro Tracker to monitor use patterns for the program
Windows Only:
* An optional Smart Timer that modifies the time between stretches based on
mouse and keyboard activity.
* Six new standing stretches.
* The ability to have music play during a break.

Currently supported versions of Stretch Break, now available from
http://web.mit.edu/software/, will be desupported and replaced by the new
releases which support Windows XP and Mac OS X.
