I had a user today who could not get Kerberos tickets. Reboots and
reinstall of Kerberos did no good. I could not get tickets on his machine
either. Kerb error 56, I think.
I found a piece of spyware on his machine from LOP.COM. The user didn't
know what it did. He should have known better, but he was already somewhat
chastened by his computer's failure.
With his permission, I removed this LOP.COM thing from his machine, and
Kerberos returned to health-- immediately, and after a full reboot.
...Or maybe it was the green beer...
