Note: I am not hanging a hub on a network jack, and I am not trying network
connection sharing.
Just found a new machine that came from the vendor, and it had two NIC
cards, and Intel and a 3Com. I ran one of them to a hub (Linksys router,
actually), and one to a wall jack.
I found I could not ping Internet sites if I had the Linksys/Nic connected.
Actually, if I reconnect the Linksys, I will have Internet for a while, and
lose it again.
I just want to understand what is going on. My intention is to share files
with this machine which is off the net using the Linksys, and to use the
other NIC to access the network.
Any suggestions as to settings?
