Well, the response to the dinner suggestion has been overwhelmingly
positive. I have gotten responses from nine people so far that they
are interested in dinner next Tuesday night, July 5. So, it's on!
A couple people including Michael B. and Judy Stitt said next Tuesday
wouldn't work out for them, but the majority seem to be able to make
it. Sorry you won't be able to make this one, but hope to see you at
future events!
Coincidentally, they both suggested that we have something like a
video pot luck, where we could watch some cool sci fi stuff or maybe
something enlightening. Judy Stitt suggested the video "Mindwalk",
which she described as a conversation between a poet, a politician,
and a physicist, which mentions the ecological significance of
dieting. It gets a thumbs-up from her. I'd also like to see the video
of John Robbin's presentation of his book _Diet for a New America._
So, there are a couple of ideas to mull over for future get-togethers.
The next message will be an announcement of the dinner time, place and
date. Thanks to Ed Piekos, who volunteered to let us use Tang for our
dinner. Thanks also to Richard Hamlin, who volunteered use of Burton
Conner.
This is going to be fun!!
