Richard Barbalace estimated that there are
"thousands of vegetarians" in and around Boston.
Nice, go, but there are perhaps 100,000 or more
vegetarians, according to the calculation derived
from the 1990/1991 Gallup Poll.
3% of the entire population is lacto-ovo vegetarian
or stricter ALL THE TIME. Many more or what WE
would call SEMI-vegetarians, who occasionally eat
the flesh of animals, although not much.
Therefore, multiply 0.03 x the total population of
an area and determine the total number of vegetarians.
By my calculations, there should be
at least "many myriads of vegetarians" (myriad = 10,000)
in and around Boston, perhaps several times 100,000 even.
