Hi, y'all! It was mentioned that we should have a vegetarian dinner. I think
that's a great idea!
To get the ball rolling, I would like to propose a couple of suggestions as
to the time, place, and theme of our dinner. How does next Tuesday evening
sound?
Ed Piekos, a.k.a. "salo" and "ESP" :), mentioned that Tang had a nice view
and would hold up to ten people, or that we could rent a nice place upstairs.
I think that sounds like a good idea, if the invitation's still open :)
Now, I think that having a potluck rather than a cooking extravaganza (you
can tell by my diction that I'm enthusiastic) is the best way to go, since
there's less to coordinate. Everybody brings something they like to eat that
they'd like to share, and we all chow down.
Perhaps we could have a theme in our choice of dishes, e.g. "international
specialties". That's a pretty broad category, I know. Any other suggestions?
Last, I'd like to invite some of the other people on this list who haven't
yet responded both to the get-together/cooking feast/vegetarian bonding
experience and to add their input and thoughts to this list. The people
