Hiya, I am leaving MIT (yay!) and there are some end-of-term issues to
be dealt with.
1) Is there someone who would like to administer the email list next year?
Basically it means doing maintenance when someone who doesnt know how to
add/remove themselves needs to be added/removed. All you have to know is:
blanche -a username seta adds a user
blanche -d username seta deletes a user
Let me know if you want to administer the vsg list.
2) If VSG is going to remain an ASA recognized group (which means it is
elligible to receive funding) there needs to be a president and
treasurer. If no one is interested in these positions for real, I
suggest a couple people step up to be figureheads. I.e. if no one wants
to do anything, nobody will, but at least if something comes up that
requires ASA recognition (say you want to rent a room for a VSG party!)
then there will be no hassle.
Let me know if you are interested in becoming an officer (and whether
you would want to organize actual activities or you just want to be a
figurehead (and put it on your resume! :) )
