having the mashed potatoes become too sweet upon using soy milk
should not be a problem, if unsweetened soy milk is used. Then
just sweeten it to taste.
You must be careful about margines: most of them are NOT vegan. I
will be acquiring some vegan margarine for the pie crust; there will
be plenty left over. (If someone wants the remainer, they are
welcome to it, because I never use margin for anything other than
pie crust and the like.)
I can do some shopping either this afternoon or early saturday
morning, but not after that. If I get a list of requests before I
go, I'll try to get them, but I do not think that I will be able to
get everything for the dinner, because I will be carrying it all by
hand and I have to do my own shopping too.
