Greetings from Berkeley,
I ran into Leor Jacobi yesterday (of Berkeley's Vegan Action) and they ares
doing more incredible things at Cal. The held a GorillaTheater, where they
had 500 vegan burgers donated from the manufacturer. They dressed up in
pseudo fast-food uniforms, including the little hats, but their shirts had
the golden arches withthe words, "McVegan" and "Billions and Billions
Saved" underneath in the traditional colours. They even had a guy dressed
up as a clown withthe name of "Reggie Mc Veggie" handing out flyers (they
distributed 4000 of them!) It was apparently a very successful event; they
made the front page of the Oakland Tribune, and got lots of new memebers.
Anyway, what I'm writing about is that I asked Leor if we could buy
T-shirts withthe McVegan logos on them. He said yes, and that they are
$12. It comes in white or black shirt with golden arches and red and
white lettering. (I'm getting the black shirt -- excellent contrast.)
If you are interested in the shirts, let me know and I'll tell Leor. I
don't konw what he'd want to do about postage. I guess you could work out
a bulk rate with him.
