I should note that I'm actually really fond of the name VSG --
"Vegetarian's Support Group". There have been a number of times that
I've been thankful that the list is here to provide sources of info
for places to eat, or good cooking advice, etc... I think the
activities that happens around Thanksgiving, where people have
organized veggie dinners and such constitute as "support". There have
also been times where it's just been comforting to me to know that I'm
not the only one out there. I've been veggie for many many years, and
it's still occasionally the case that I get strong "you're a
vegetarian? what, are you crazy?" feelings from
people/restaraunts/etc... This group as a whole has been very helpful
at those times, in many ways that other groups (like the Boston Vegetarian
Society, of which I'm not fond of and not a member) could not be of use...

I think in perhaps slightly non-standard ways, this group really is a
support group amongst other things... I'm not sure I see any need for
the name to change.
