I also vote for a name-change. I think 'vegetarian support group' makes
us sound like 'meat-eater's anonymous' or something; like we are giving up
a thing we really want and are having a tough time of it.
I agree that we are here to provide support, especially for new veggies, but
I don't like the thought of appearing needy to 'outsiders', with whom we
fight many stereotypes, especially the 'being a veggie is difficult' thing.
How about 'VEG' for 'vegetarian education group'?
or 'SALAD' for 'Students Against Living Animal Destruction'? ;)
