I'm against separating this list into vsg-support and vsg-activism.
First of all, there's not nearly enough traffic. Because the
volume is so low, it's very easy just to delete the ones you don't
want to read. That's what subject lines are for.

I have always gotten the idea that this *was* a support list - it
just happens to encompass a sometimes political spectrum. I don't
mind that because I like to see what other veggies viewpoints are -
even if I find them too "radical" and don't agree with them one
bit.

I have noticed that this list, althought I think of it as support
because I only have one close veggie friend, is not very good in
terms of support. That's because I believe human contact and
actual interaction between vegetarians is a better support vehicle.
That's what I am trying to accomplish by starting the Veggie
Cook Togethers.

This list also lacks in the support arena cuz, well, most people
here are students. Otherwise they work. Schedules can be hard
to arrange for frequent get-togethers which, in my opinion, can't
be substituted by using an on-line mailing list.

Did any of my babble address the issue that was brought up? I hope
so cuz that is why I wrote it.

love,
wendy
