Dear Boston Vegetarian Society List,

It is sad news, but true. Country Life,
a landmark vegetarian restaurant in Boston
since 1987, will be closing its doors for the
last time this Sunday. We are privileged
to have our Valentine's Dinner be the final
meal served.

We hope that you will join us this Sunday
to express our gratitude to the Ashton family
for all these years of hospitality to the vegetarian
community, as well as their service providing
delicious, animal-free home cooking to the
non-veg population in the financial district.

The reason: After a decade of feeling the
effects of being hidden behind Big Dig
construction barriers, they were unable to
negotiate a new lease at a rent they could afford.

So, please do join us this Sunday, Feb. 15
for a special and final dinner at Country Life!!
