Hello everyone!

Sorry for the late minutes. We covered a lot at our meeting, so read on
for details!

1. Budget
The spring budget is due tomorrow by 5pm, so email Parthiv
(parthiv@mit.edu) with any last minute ideas for next semester!
As for this semester's budget, we discussed plans for using up the rest of
our money:
-more literature and videos
-Thanksgiving Potluck
-end of term cooking competition
-food samples for booths
-subsidizing dinner meetings (Parthiv will be checking on whether or not we
can do this)

2. Lobby 10 Booth
Parthiv will be going in person to get us a booth for some day before the
end of term. We'll be distributing pamphlets and food samples as usual.

3. Thanksgiving Potluck
Since it was successful last year, we're doing it again! The date is
Tuesday, November 25th...time and location to come soon!

4. End of Term Cooking Competition
Because our vegetarian "Iron Chef" idea can't be put into action this
semester, we decided to hold an end of term vegetarian cooking competition
among our group members instead. More details to come!

5. Video Showing
For our December 3rd meeting we would like to show one of the videos our
group owns. Video choice and location to be announced later.

6. November Dinner Meeting
For our November dinner meeting we'd like to try for Veggie Planet in
Harvard Square. Remember, we'll be meeting in Lobby 7 at 5pm on November 19th!

7. Group Needs
We had some new members at our meeting and discussed what they'd like to
get out of being a part of the group. As a result, we're going to try to
get some literature and more discussion going on the following topics:
-How do I get the nutrition I need?
-How do I buy/prepare these foods on limited time and money?
-What are common animal additives in foods and other products that I might
want to avoid?

That's all for now. Again, please email Parthiv if you have any budget
suggestions!

See you next Wednesday!
Roseanna
