Posted by request.  Bread & Jams, which serves vegetarian meals to the
homeless and those in need each Sunday in Cambridge, has a part time

Internship Available

Bread & Jams, Inc., a non-profit organization & day shelter in Harvard
Square which serves homeless, previously homeless & economically
disadvantaged populations, is looking for an intern with skills in
community & coalition building to supervise, reorganize & expand its
weekly Sunday Meal--a vegetarian meal served to homeless & economically
disadvantaged men, women & children for the past fifteen years.

Responsibilities would include 
building, maintaining & training a volunteer base
building & maintaining community relations
supervising the preparation, cooking, serving, & functioning of the
weekly meal
coordinating pick-up & delivery of weekly food donations from local
non-profits & vendors
coordinating pick-up, delivery & distribution of clothing donations at
the weekly meal 
maintaining fiscal success of program operations
developing pilot programs to increase program visibility & promote
community involvement. 

Individuals with strong backgrounds/interests in community outreach,
program development & excellent organizational skills are urged to apply.

Start Date: To be arranged 
Hours: 10 – 15 hours per week
Stipend: To be arranged
